The Biennale 2024 will take place on the Wirkbau site in Chemnitz. Several exhibition halls will be used for the art exhibition, the youth art exhibition and the Pochen Studio. The Pochen Sauna is located on the roof garden.  

You can find more information about the Wirkbau here.  The Biennale can be reached via the car park on the Annaberger Straße side. Access is via scaffolding stairs.   

Access on foot or by bike:  

Many paths lead to the Wirkbau site. We suggest taking the entrance to the site via Annaberger Straße.   

Access by car:  

Access for cars is on Lothringer Str. Once you have driven through the barrier, turn directly left. There you will find a large car park in front of the entrance to the first exhibition hall C0. Parking spaces for people with walking disabilities or wheelchairs are also kept free here.  

By public transport:  

The best way to get to the site by public transport is via the Gustav-Freytag-Straße stop. From the stop, walk south for 2 minutes along Annaberger Straße. The best way to reach the exhibition venue by train is via the Chemnitz Südbahnhof train station, from where you can enter the site via Elsasser Straße.  

The exhibition rooms are accessible either at ground level or via a lift. 

During the Biennale, it is possible to stay at the Seaside Hotel at a discounted rate. To do so, you can book a single or double room by phone or email at info@residenzhotelchemnitz.de using the code "Pochen 2024" to access the discount.

For bookings made through an online booking system, the usual conditions apply.

The prices for single and double rooms include breakfast at the hotel.
